Boclair Academy

Veitchi Interiors was contracted by McLaughlin & Harvey to provide the drywall and partitioning and joinery packages on the new £40.9 million school in East Dunbartonshire.

Designed by Ryder Architecture, the new school provides a state-of-the-art learning environment for over 1000 local pupils. The design incorporates a large atrium, flexible learning spaces and a bright décor. The environment is further enhanced by a clever use of glazing, providing natural light and views of the surrounding countryside.

Veitchi Interiors was appointed following a positive interview process and agreeing programme duration. Through positive collaboration with the main contractor, design team and suppliers, early handover was achieved. The pupils were welcomed into their new home in time for the new term commencing in August 2022.

One of our particular highlights of the project was the installation of the joinery works on the staircases. The valchromat install was fairly challenging however we feel it enhances a functional area and provides a totally unique appearance.
