Woodland View ASN School

Woodland View ASN School was a transformative project to provide a state-of-the-art facility for children and young people aged 2-18 with a diverse range of additional support needs in East Dunbartonshire. McLaughlin & Harvey entrusted Veitchi Interiors with the crucial task of supplying and installing the Metsec SFS (Structural Framing Systems) and conducting a comprehensive Full Internal Fitout. This venture played a pivotal role in creating a practical and stimulating environment conducive to the educational needs of the students.

Challenges Faced: The complexity of the project was evident in the variety of tasks Veitchi Interiors undertook. Installing over 2,300m2 of SFS required meticulous precision, extending from internal linings to brick tie channels. The construction also involved tackling challenging rooflights formed in SFS, adding a layer of intricacy to the project.

Scope of Work:

1. Structural Framing Systems (SFS):
   • Veitchi Interiors successfully supplied and installed 2,300m2 of SFS for the external walls, ensuring structural integrity and efficiency in the construction process.
   • The team seamlessly integrated the SFS from internal linings to brick-tie channels, showcasing their expertise in handling diverse components.
2. Full Internal Fitout:
   • Ceiling Installations: The project featured a variety of ceilings, including Linear Timber Ceilings, Acoustic Ceiling Rafts, and large perforated plasterboard feature bulkheads. These elements added both aesthetic appeal and functionality to the interior spaces.
   • Partitions and Linings: Over 12,000m2 of various types of partitions and linings were meticulously installed, contributing to the overall structural and design integrity of the school.
   • Laminate Doors: Veitchi Interiors installed nearly 300 laminate doors, enhancing accessibility and privacy within the school.
